Walking in the cold and getting outdoors

So it is Thursday and wasn't feeling so good today, as I was still full from the day before but walked it off and had a lovely couple of Capuccino's and was a new blend and tasted so nice. This was Cafe Nero in Epsom and really good service and planned for the day and notes for my Youtube channel, My Way of living: https://youtu.be/c0KMzn6_zA0

It was super cold glad I did some walking and felt better. I will be uploading another vlog, and written a new blog on my blog site, Life as a writer: https://inalifeofawriter.blogspot.com/2023/11/write-or-no-to-write-that-is-question.html

If you feel groggy then getting outdoors, and yes it is cold, but it helps clear germs that can spread.Yes you do need to  layer up, but just a steady walk when it is cold can do wonders.

Seeing frost can make things look pictureress.

Then when you are back indoors, it is nice and warm, and helps me with my energy levels, as I struggle with getting out of bed in the Autumn and Winter especially, and good to have a lovely hot bath in the evening.

Give yourself time to your self. It is so important. It allows you time to breath and just calm down from the day, and have a good nights sleep.

Sleep is so important, and I used to suffer with bad Insomonia,, now though, not so much and I can go back to sleep when I wake up in the night, and also I get dressed straight away when my alarm goes off and prevents me from going back to bed and set the tone for the day.

I am all about happiness and wellbeing. Being content with what is around and what you have got, rather than what you haven't got and being thankful for the things you have in youir life, and not taking the days for granted.

So going to get myself ready to relax and chill for the evening, ready for the next day and be ready for the weekend.

Many thanks for reading,

A great day out having an Afternoon Tea

Today was super cold this morning and was going to do a floor workout with Trinny London, because she does a live video, doiing Yoga but my left side of my back was hurting so couldn't do it. Check out Instagram and Youtube for good workouts as there are so many.

Then I went for an Afternoon Tea, a gift from my brother, his wife and children, from last Christmas and was at the Patisseries Valerie in Victoria and it was really nice, and was able to bring some of it home and would recommend having an afternoon tea there.

Great gift to give, and I have been wanting to go and have afternoon tea, and so was a real treat and would do again. There were other customers in there too, who was also dining in there and not far from the station and buses: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wrJXdgz35BhSTyG86

Victoria really being built up, and there are shops, pubs and restauants and Theatres, and love visiting the Victoria Place shopping centre and didn't get a chance to look, but if you looking for different gifts for love ones this Christmas and youi can visit Victoria it is worth checking it out. https://maps.app.goo.gl/5PMATqsS8BQxmD1m9

You can always have a Afternoon tea at home, with sandwiches, cakes and a lovely selection of teas and coffees. Why go out f it is too cold outside and put some lovely music on, and have a Christmas jumper day and have a lucky dip, where you put gifts in a bag and each person doesn't look, and pick out a gift or do a secret santa.

Christmas is about making memories and building relationships and celebrating with the ones you love. So why not do a huge family photo and give each family member a copy, and making it into a tradition. Go for a walk on Christmas day. Something I love to do and just taking the day in and just having time to think about the story of Christmas and that it is time to forgive and forget. Mend feuds. Its only going to affect you even more. So find a way to let it go and celebrate, without feeling angry over a argument that happened 10 year ago. Do you even remember what it was about? And be the one to make the first move.

I have filmed a little of the afternoon tea and so that will be up I hope in the next couple of weeks and tomorrow I am going to edit another vlog to go up and catching up with my videos, and thank you if you have already subscribed. Check out my newest vlog: https://youtu.be/DKxmJxz_Ogw

So going to enjoy the evening and going to go through what I have got to do by the end of this week and getting my life together.

Many thanks for reading,

Having a good homemade dinner

I feel a lot better today. Yesterday I was so tired that I just needed to rest and give myself time to relax. So today I uploaded a new vlog: https://youtu.be/DKxmJxz_Ogw and wrote a new blog on one of my google blogs, https://organize4thebetter.blogspot.com/2023/11/getting-through-festive-season.html

Now just read through one of my new books as I do have others planned and drafted, to get the fourth edit done, and had a few phone calls to deal with, and so now going to write this blog and then gonna rest and catch up on some TV and Youtube and put work to rest for another day.

Tomorrow I am having Afternoon tea in London, and so very excited about that and then going to see if I can get a few more Christmas gifts and start getting my plans together to continue planning for the rest of this year and next.

I already have dinner one as using my Slow cooker, and have Chicken Casserole and would recommend a slow cooker and just saves so much time.

If there were four things I could pack to take away with me, if I ever move again, it will be having a kettle, dinner set, my Laptop and slow cooker.

What would you take? Of course it would be if you are a parent, our kids, and spouses, partners but objects and equipment and love money saving ideas and a slow cooker is one of them.

You have to invest in gagdets when it comes to having a good dinner and nice to have a warmly dinner that takes little effort but tastes good and so going to start making homemade healthy dinners and still have naughty foods.

I would like to make a curry from scratch again and Chickpea and Pilar rice and not had a stirfry for ages so got a few meals planned and it is good to be back in the kitchen and cook, whilst listening to music, podcast or audiobook. The current audio book I listening to is Atomic Habits, and Podcasts are usually Mel Robbins, Real Talk Kim, Diary of a CEO, Happy Place and Happy Mum Happy Baby.

So going to continue my day and will blog tomorrow and will be vlogging too, so have a good rest of Tuesday.

A good weekend of visiting a new pub and having a super weekend

Oh boy what a weekend and welcome. This is my daily blog if you are new here, and post Monday to Friday about different things, and how I feel today and various topics.

So, it was sad to hear about, Terry Venables has died who was a footballer and manager, and well respected, because of taking England Football team to the Semi Finals in 1996, and I remember watching, at my nans and Earls Court, and my nan spent a lot of time on her balcony because England would win every time she was out there.

Picture I took yesterday walking passed Wimbledon Common

This week I was clearing my emails, and had over 8,000 emails in one account and completely cleared and done the same this morning and feels so much better and unsubscribed from a lot of sites, and would recommend others to do the same, if you feel bogged down.

We visited a lovely pub on Saturday where they have a cat and my son of course loved it, as he loves cats and recommend visiting Wimbledon Village and Common. It was cold, but we had sunshine and good to go for a walk and visit new places, and then yesterday they had a Winter Fair on, in Wimbledon. It was okay but wasn't blown away and was super cold so went back indoors.

I sorted out my bedroom, and always like doing a reset and will film another Reset as one is due and glad to have gotten my emails down, and also having a clear out of my blog posts that are irrelavent and want to update. Check out my blog site: http://everyonecanbuildacastle.com

I am going to do the same with my other blogs and just having a good sort through.

It is good to declutter and will be sorting out, more areas out and do a Winter Clear up, and decorate for Christmas, getting more gifts for the festive season and plan more walks to help clear the mind and plan to visit Carshalton and will take you along. If you didn't know I have three Youtube channels, and post vlogs on my channel Typical London Gal, and here is my new one I posted this week: https://youtu.be/WFtMwhqln0I

Today I do feel super tired and so not planning on doing a lot, and if you feel wiped out it is important to rest and recharge and so going to do little and just chill.

Have a super Monday and will blog again tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading,

Exploring the UK

Today I walked from London Waterloo to Vanxhall and from Ewell West to Epsom, and it a quite a walk, along with tears and tantrums, because Henry was determind into walking from London Waterloo to Epsom. which is such a long way.

This was a image I took of the Thames in Bishops Park London where we walked and travelled by Uber Boat too, from Canary Wharf to Putney, which is near by

I need to relax, but it wasn't the best start, as the toilets were out at the station and had temporary toilets which were disgusting and it was super cold and windy, and the train was parshley delayed, and wanted to turn back. The sun did come out, and began to enjoy but was a little uptight and we could have walked on, I just felt deflated and Henry then was upset and so we agreed to do more walking as we travelled nearer to Epsom.

So we are going to do more walking and walk to Epsom, but break it up, and perhaps do the whole walk but is a long way and something you need to walk towards, and my anxiety got to me today, and so need to chillout and not be so pessimistic and not allow dirty toilets and travel delays bother me.

It is good that he wants to walk, and the last bit we did was good, walking passed a local pond, and so not going to put him off, as I like walking too, and plan to do more walking and do like the fact that he wants to do with me, and so I will work on my feelings, and I do like walking through London, so next time going to enjoy it and not allow my fears to stop me. Often you have to get out of your confort zone and challenge yourself, so that is what I am going to do.

If you know of some good walks then please comment below and what places you like to walk?

I will film it when we did, like today, and sharing via blog, and enjoy the surroundings and visit more places of where we have never been before. The UK has so many places to visit and would like to make time to discover my home Country and all its glory, and with my son. He is my companion, and because he loves trains, go to different trains to visit various places, and take it all in.

So going to watch a bit of TV and will blog again, next week.

Have a great weekends.

Many thanks for reading,

Getting tasks done and getting ready for Christmas

This morning was bliss and so good to get out and walk, and have a coffee out and planning for my channel, My way of living: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9agww2YOWIU  and did edit a vlog for my other channel, The Typical London Gal, but it won't save. I use ClipChamp on my Laptop and it is rubbish. I so looking forward to having a new laptop, because the one I use, I have so many issues with it.

Anyway, it has been a productive morning and day, and so going to get my tasks completed, including this daily blog. I needed some new underwear and socks for my son, so picked these up, and recommend M&S as they do some nice clothing and bits, and they have food stores too, so picked up sone Garlic Bread to go with today's dinner.

It is good to be productive and not wasting days, because it can bring us down when we haven't completed no tasks. Of course it is important to have a break and rest, but you can still be productive by doing that, like watch a TV series or read a book, and I like using afternoons to do a workout when I don't got outside and walk.

If you didn't read my previous blogs, I completed my monthly Newsletter, which I post on my blog site:

http://everyonecanbuildacastle.com/2023/11/22/november-newsletter-2023/

I ordered another gift, and so getting that done, and feel that I am getting ahead. Christmas shopping, and so gonna wait next week, to buy another set of Christmas gifts and deciding on where we will be over the festive period as may go away somewhere, but not sure as of that.

Soon it will be time to put up those decorations, and then planning food. I know some plan ahead of time, and would say get your veg and freeze it, as this can help save the pennies and getting prepared so there is no last minute rush, to get it all.

Tomorrow we are off up to London Waterloo, so going to see if the Christmas markets are on yet and my son wants to walk from London Waterloo to Epsom. So see how we get on.

So gonna end this blog, and hope you have a good rest of the week, and may post tomorrow if not it will be either Sunday or Monday.

Many thanks for reading,

Travelling across the world

Much better day today. I have been decluttering. Sorting out my sons clothes, put out some laundry and worked on a blog post for my blog site: http://carriesversatilefashion.com, and published my newsletter for this month on my site: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com/2023/11/22/november-newsletter-2023/

I have also been watching a bit of TV, to take a break from Youtube and watched Celebraties Race Across the Road, and it is brilliant. So gonna watch more of that. I will watch the non celebrity one too.

It is on BBC 1, and I am not sure if I would ever do that. I'd like to walk the whole length of Britain, but in a different country, not so confident about it, and would struggle to set of and so thought it was good to watch and encouraging too. It is amazing how much you need to work together, as they are teams of two.

I think it is good to do challenges as I do a lot, and when I moved to the south coast of England was good for me, and it was a change I needed, but would take a lot to race across the world.

Would you do it? Please leave a comment below.

The one place I'd like to explore more is America. Going to America at Christmas time was so much fun and it was an experience that I'd never thought I ever get to do, so when I did it was so motivating, to do this again, and so there are countries that I would like to see.

I would like to take Henry on more train rides. He is my son and loves trains, dinosaurs, Blippi and helicopters, and go on the Bluebell again, which is old fashioned steam train. We did this one Christmas, with my brother, his wife and kids, and was such a good day out.

It is good to explore, and with others. I did a charity walk with friends and family, walking over the bridges in London, and was for a Hospice, and it was hard, but once done we had a drink, and got a lift back and would love to do this again, and so see if I ever get the courage, and Race Across the World too.

It is hard being a Woman, and travelling from London to Surrey

Oh boy what a day. I am not good today due to my Menstraul cycle and so not able to do much because of it and support Vicky Pattison on women and periods, because it can really bring you down. I find now mentally, but the one area it doen't get me is fatigue and that is due to diet and looking after my health.

Today though I had a appointment about my Mental Health and it went well, all is good in terms of weight, BMI and medication, its just hormones due to being on my cycle and why it is hard to be a woman sometimes.

I travelled by bus to Epsom today, after my appointment and picking up some bits up on the way, and it was a good journey, but today the bus driver didn't stop for a lady as I was on the journey, and it used to be request stops and non request stops, but, it seems now, to be lost in translation, and not stopping so you always have to put our hand out.

Yes I could have got the train, but would have had to wait for a bus once I got of the train, because I couldn't do much walking today, as my cycle is heavy, and on one of he buses I went on, as I take two, one from Wimbledon to Morden and the other from Morden to Epsom, is close by and didn't have to wait long for them today.

Travelling from Surrey to London can be good and I do like to go by bus as I can listen to an audiobook or music. With the train is it shorter but is expensive to do this everyday.

I wrote a blog about my son now being 10, which I don't post on all the time, but I created it initially so my friends and family on social media could catch up on my son, but now I do it to reach out and talk about my son, to help others with learning about the different milestones.

https://theparentingadventuresthebirthofmyson.wordpress.com/2023/11/21/henry-at-10-years-old/

The other thing I did today, is start my Newsletter for November, and what is coming in my content and what I have been doing, and getting ready for the festive season.

So, that is my thoughts and feelings today, and I have been filming for a vlog and going to upload a vlog twice a week, and so when this is done, I will let you know.

Get ready for Christmas 2023

I didn't manage to write a daily blog yesterday, I didn't feel to good and spent time playing football with my son and rugby and so back today. I have uploaded a new vlog: https://youtu.be/xwDk7M7MJSo

The weather was bad this weekend and so was hard to find things to do, so took Henry to a place called Gravity and it was good but is expensive and a bit of a rip off, but he enjoyed it and he did some drawing, then we played shops, which is a good fun game for kids.

I have some Christmas presents, and pulled out my Christmas folder which needs to be updating and a idea that can help plan for the festive season, and get the Christmas panic, of getting decor, food, drink and presents.

The one thing I don't like is the mad rush around Christmas when it comes to shopping and so I like to shop in the morning to miss all that, and do the same when visiting the Christmas markets there are, and look forward to a Christmas drink and some Mulled Wine.

What are looking forward to? And what drinks do you like at Christmas?

I have been playing some Christmas music and yesterday my husband put some on and feel ready.

For me Christmas for me is to take a good break and like to go for a walk on Christmas day and a few drinks and just celebrating with no stress and be with family, and switch off from the everyday life.

So try not to get stressed, and the greatest gift for your love ones is you.

There was a time I didn't like Christmas and was a humbug and was just another day. Now though since having my son, see it from his eyes and it is magical and want him to enjoy it and have good memories of this time of year to celebrate too and restore his love for it, and an enjoying time.

Getting outdoors walking and exercising

So I have been out already and it feels so good. Henry, my son,  was picked up early to go to school and so used the opportunity to pick up bits I needed from Waitrose and walked back. It reminds me of how much I love to walk and why I have to go out on some days. I find it so fulfilling, and life shoudl be like that, when we spend a lot rushing around and getting from A to B.

Photo of one of my walks can't remember which walk this is but just being around Nature just makes me feel so good and calm

It is a nice sunny morning, and I have been walking indoors this week having a lot of rain, using my husband's treadmill and working out with my weights and doing regular leg exercises to help tone and strenghten them.

I do write two fitness blogs, and so check them out: https://getfitgetactivewithme.blogspot.com/

https://sportsandfitnesspassion.wordpress.com

I love looking after my health and getting good amount of exercise it helps clear stress and calm myself down, to control my anxiety, I get in the mornings, making sure gets picked on time and is ready for school.

It doesn't have to be long exercise, but a short amount of exercise can still make a difference and just build up intensity to help your body and mind, and lowering the pressure to do exercise, and do something you enjoy, not what everyone else says to do. You can make your own rules and it is unique to each person and something I have learned through education. Exercise should be flexible and I add it into my schedule but I have not looked forward to it, so as soon as I get the boost to exercise, I get up and do it, without planning.

I listen to my body and what it needs. My diet needs improving and need to gain back control on that and not getting obsseseive about it.

Food should be good, and I do make sure I have plenty of fruit and vegetables but I get bored with eating that kind of food, so finding ways to still enjoy food and eat good at the same time. If anyone has tips please share. You can leave a comment below.

So I am finishing this blog here and be back blogging on Sunday so have a great weekend.

Many thanks for reading,

Getting ready for Christmas

Check out my Organise for the better blog: https://organize4thebetter.blogspot.com/2023/11/good-ways-to-use-what-you-have-got.html
I have also uploaded a new video for my Youtube channel My way of Living: https://youtu.be/Vj9Zc7p6AtQ

There will be a new vlog going up on my channel: Typical London Gal Carrie Holmes, tomorrow as it seems take a day to edit, because of the laptop  has little storage, but this should be resolved soon, and so got to make do with what I have got. and check out my channel for weekly content, of my last vlog I did last week:

It is good to have had a prductive day and completed another chapter editing my new book. I am doing my 4th edit of my new book, and feel pleased with it so far, and doing it by page rather than each chapter has made it a lot easier to edit, and will remember that.

Life is all about learning and progressing, taking on challenges and making everyday count.

My son had another dry night, check out previous blogs on this site: https://mydailythougthsandfeelings.blogspot.com/2023/11/we-had-result.html

So feel good about that. I have begun getting ready for Christmas and pulled out my Christmas folder that I am going to show and reorganize, and I have got one present bought.

I am fed up of stressing about it and rushing, so going to take my time. I think we get stressed because we worry that its not going to be a good one, because we can't afford it and that we have to spend a lot, which we don't. I will be filming more of my channel My Way of Living to help have a good christmas without blowing the budget.

It is not all about giving gifts. For me it is a time to wind down and I love Christmas music, and having a glass of Prosecco in the morning, whilst we prep for the dinner, and opened up our gifts, and spending time with family you love and friends, dressing up and just having a good fun day.

So, I hope you have a good evening. It is Thursday and soon end of the week, and will be blogging again tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading,

We had a result

Yes, and I hope I am not tempting fate, but Henry didn't wet the bed lastnight, and it took bribery because he likes chocolate and said he can have some if he keeps the bed dry. Now I know many will be frowning at that, but as a parent, you have to do what you got to do, and its not a lot of chocolate, but also I am not co-sleeping with him now, and has made him get back to getting up and going to the toilet at night. See my posr below I wrote yesterday about it:

Last Christmas 2022

https://mydailythougthsandfeelings.blogspot.com/2023/11/parenting-dilemmas.html

I have started to buy gifts for Christmas and going to get my folder out to plan more and get organised and we, my son's dad, son and I may go away. Not sure where but I do like going away over Christmas so going to have a look as to where to go.

What plans do you have? Please leave a comment below.

It is good with so much going on in the world in getting ready for the festive season, and so just got to get my self sorted out and get organised.

I would recommend to have a planner or folder for Christmas to plan, and I think I should plan ahead like before, from when we get into a new year, as Christmas seems to be coming so quickly now, that I feel that I get behind, which adds to stress.

Please check out my parenting blog site, as I put together a gift guide for parents. and can find it here: https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com/2023/11/14/kids-get-ready-for-christmas/

I do have plans in going to a pantomime and today going to see if Henry go to his holiday club he goes to in the holidays. He really enjoys it and will use the time to sort Christmas out, and do plan in seeing a Pantomime. A tradition since a kid.

There will vlogs coming to for this years Christmas I am just getting up to date with my vlogs to film more and during the Christmas period.

So I look forward in sharing, and so have a fabulous Wednesday and will post again tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading,

Parenting Dilemmas

So it is now Tuesday and feeling a little frustrated, and not sure what to do about it. My son is having issues with the toilet at night and we have stopped co-sleeping and him be sleeping on his own, to make him get up to go to the toilet by himself again, and it feels like we have taken another back step, in his development.

Please give me some tips to understand it. I am not sure at the moment whereby he knows he is wet, but when I first ask him he says no, so going to keep my eye on him and if it doesn't get better perhaps I need to speak with a doctor to just check to see if it is due to a medical issue.

My son alright during the day and will go for a wee before bedtime, and its only first part of the night.

Anyway today I am having a day indoors as the weather is awful and wet and rainy so getting bits done, like I have posted another blog on my parenting blog site: https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.com

It is the Second day of doing the 4th edit of my new book I am writng, posted on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZaCVp9LefF/ Showing some items bought from ASDA and getting the urge to buy more clothes, so trying to rein myself in and remember it is Christmas and need to save those pennies.

I have a second Youtube channel, where I talk a lot about Managing my Money: www.youtube.com/@mywayofliving1602

So got two more tasks to do today so going to crack on and will blog again tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading,

Damn buses

This morning once my son was picked up to go to school, took a trip to Sainsbury's, because I needed a birthday cake and card, and other bits, and so glad I went in the morning, becauset waited for the bus and changed its desination, waiting for a long time, and this annoys because the fact I paid my far using my Oyster card to take me to the stop near my home in Epsom.

London Southbank

Being a Londoner this has happened to me a lot as would from childhood travel on the buses in London to various places and can be expensive when the bus teriminates before the stop you wanted, but looking at it, I like walking, so did some and was alright, and I got home, and wrapped up my sons birthday presents and got to sign his card.

I am not going to do much today just gonna take it easy and just get ready for the weekend, and plan for it.

Tomorrow we are off to watch football and Sunday planning on going up to London Waterloo and will clear camera to film. I like to treat myself with a trip up London and explore, but rememberance day on Sunday and so will be busy, so not planning on staying up there long. I would suggest if you like to visit London to go out early as places like the Southbank, London can be chaotic, but I still enjoy going up there and my son does too, so as its his birthday this weekend, going to take a trip up there.

Any how going to end this blog here, and will blog again on Sunday.

Many thanks for reading,

Having a day indoors

I hope Thursday is going well, I am trying to export a new vlog for my Autumn Reset I did, getting tasks complete but having issues with the video software and been working on it all morning. Now is has successfully gone up to Youtube, check it out: https://youtu.be/HydQBMEwUjg

It has been a day indoors, I did pop to the shop this morning but that was it and I do like a day where I don't go out and have a chilled day, as it is coming to the end of the week, and  like to wind down and take it a bit easier, compared the beginning of the week.

This week I have completed the 3rd edit of my book, sorting out birthdays, including my sons, tomorrow got to pick up a birthday cake, buy a card and wrapping up his gifts. There jusr one present gone missing, so may need to re-order. And on Saturday we are off to watch a footbal match, AFC Wimbledon against Doncaster Rovers, and then at the weekend we are off to the Southbank up London and then going to have a nice meal back in Epsom, in a pub and then after then will be planning Christmas.

It is upon us and so need to get out my Christmas folder and already thinking of what to buy. When do you do your Christmas planning? I'd love to know and got any organisation tips. You can leave a comment below.

I always feel rushed, and anxious making sure I get presents and that in time, and why as soon as the holidays and birthdays in Novermber are gone, depending on when guy fawkes and Halloween can predict when the school half term on the UK is, I start to plan for the big C.

I do have a couple of birthdays before Christmas, and then one in the new year. So it means a lot of planning and getting ideas for gifts. I did do a video on my Youtube channel about Investing in Kids and Experience, if you'd like to check it out: https://youtu.be/i--zbKpxuo

Last year I did a Christmas Planner Guide, and so will be updating it to post this year to help give you ideas and if you have ideas of gifts then please share below.

So, I hope you have had a good Thursday and I will be blogging again tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading

Books and TV and bus drivers

Just thought I had an issue with my creating a new post, but logged out and logged back in and it is fine.

Today I have been on my travels to and from Wimbledon and Epsom, to pick up my sons birthday gifts, but I have one missing. It was a large rugby ball, which was ordered from Amazon. Not gonna stress over it because whats the point? I can buy another one, but just a nuisance because it may not arrive on time.

This is for my sons birthday. He will be 10 years old and want to docunent it, as you never that time back.

I was worried that my son was getting sick, because he had a swollen red cheek, and eye was watering, but today he appears to be fine.

Last night I watched a film called Horrible Histories and is hilarious and want to watch it again. It is taking the micky out of Roman times films and so check it out.

Today on the bus the driver got annoyed because a lady pressed the stop button thinking that was the stop she needed and realised she made a mistake, and was really rude. At the end of the day, it shouldn't matter as people will make that mistake, and its not the end of the world, because someone has done that.

I think some people need to get out of their selves and not get bad tempered when it was an innocent mistake. What do you think? Have you pressed the button on a bus, realising it the next one?

Comment below and share you story. I love interaction and want to talk about different topics and so please give your feedback.

I been listening to my audio book Atomic Habits which is really intteresting and a lot of me I need to listen again to, and going to buy the physical book. Let me know if you have read it and what did you take from it and if you gave recommendation on audiobooks, like these please comment.

So, gonna end blog here, and will be back with another tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading,

A Productive day getting projects completed

Hello happy Tuesday! Yes it is the second day in the week and this morning went for a walk, a coffee to do some planning whilst enjoying a Capuccino and did some errands and now had a lovely lunch, which was leftovers from yesterday evenings dinner and completed the 3rd draft of my new book which I plan to get out at the end of this year, and so good to be so productive. Tomorrow I am going to pop out again for a walk and going to try and do a longer walk, and get some more bits done and completed, and so great to see things progress.

So now listening to the Youngs Guns 2 soundtrack by Jon Bon Jovi, and is one of my favourite albums and love the films too, and taking a break from watching videos and on going to play this on when I use my husbands treadmill, and when I would go to the gym, would play music and lose myself.

I do have two blog site I write about fitness. One is Get fit Get actiive https://getfitgetactivewithme.blogspot.com/ and https://sportsandfitnesspassion.wordpress.com

When I went running I would but depends on the time of day it was and if walking near busy roads, need to be careful so tend to play music whilst travelling or writing a blog post. Take care of yourself when getting fit this time of year, due to slippery pavements and make sure you wear bright coloured clothing so you can be seen.

I would so a Sunday run, but like to use Sundays to spend time with my son walking and exploring. This is mine and his time together, but weekends can be the best time to exercise and go for a coffee, and just not walking fast, just taking notice of what is around you, and I just feel so calm and at peace.

So needed when in the week you are rushing around and travelling.

It can often feel that the weekends go fast and had more time to chill out, and so if I get to go for a walk in the week, then I get out there and do some.

Since being a parent my fitness has gone up and did put on weight due to some medication I was taking for my mental health, but this was changed, because I had type 2 diabetes and changed this by dieting and exercising.

Going for a walk it helps me to develop ideas for my content and get in touch with my creativity and grow as my blogs and writing grows. So if you can get outdoors why not meet a friend and go for a walk, because it is like therapy for me and tbankful of the body I have, rather than putting it down, which I did for a long time and would get really upset about it.

So lets work together and all complete our tasks and conquer our dreams and goals, and spending time to progress our growth in this world and be the people we want to be.

Starting a new week ahead

It another Monday, how happy do we feel? I used to dread Mondays' especially during my school years and wished fo  the weekend to expand and have an extra day off school. I do still get a little dread, because Henry going back to school, and this morning he kept saying he didn't want to go, wanted to travel up to London Waterloo.

He also wants to walk from London Waterloo to Ashstead, so he can walk and pretend he is a train.

I am glad that he wants to walk, but I know that once he sees how long the walk is, may change his mind, but with kids sometimes it is good to do want they are asking, so they can see it, and if he wants to do more walking then I am going to embrace it.

Today I am in waiting for a delivery to arrive and that is fine, I do like days where by I stay indoors. I do like getting out, but homely days too.

I feel that you have to have that time to recuperate, and because we had a busy weekend, I do like the week to have a day getting computer stuff done, use my husband's treadmill and doing indoor errands like washing up, and now I am listening to an audiobook, Atomic Habits and have a break watching Youtube.

In the mornings I no longer watch Youtube, but there was a time I'd get up and would be on as soon as it was the morning before I took my son to school and is a bad habit, especially when I am supposed to be getting my son ready for school and so now will watch it when my son goes to school and after I go out for a walk and run errands.

It is limiting it so I enjoy it, but not the first thing I want to do, and then I would listen to music at night time and before I got up, and would get up late, and be wide awake at night, as it stimulates the brain, that can effect your sleep, so it is cutting back and not a priority.

I much rather go for a walk during the week in the morning and watch the news programmes and making sure my son has his breakfast, gets dressed and is ready for the day, and myself and focusing on my son going to school, and then I can begin my day, and do my writing and watch Youtube that is motivating, but taking breaks from that too.

When it comes to social media will check this a little through out the day, and going through my emails and just having a good productive day, moving and getting my tasks I have planned done.

So going to get some of my book done, see if the delivery arrives so I can do a walk on the treadmill and work on my book, which is my main priority in terms of my writing work, and then focus on other things, and just kick starting my week.

Ordering the wrong thing

Sunday afternoon, I feel a little extra tired today and felt like just staying in bed all day, but can't and had delivery and ordered some items that was the item I thought and felt so stupid.

I feel like Elizabeth's mum, in my book Mum&Me Elizabeth (the daugthter) mum keeps ordering goods from home shopping channels and online and, when they turn up not what she thought they were gonna be.

If you wanted to know it was Zero Guinesses but meant to order the normal cans of guiness and so popped Sainsbury's to get the right ones.

If you want to check out my book Mum&Me then click here to check it out: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mum-Me-Gucci-Tits-Virtue-ebook/dp/B0BGSS7H9K/ref=sr_1_1?crid=T2M3RMUNGF6Q&keywords=mum+%26+me+carrie+holmes&qid=1699194700&sprefix=mum%26me+carrie+holmes%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-1

It is confusing though, my sister in law accidentally bought the wrong type of Prosecco, and so is as far as I am concerned an easy mistake. Have you done that, ordered the wrong thing not realising its the wrong items. Leave a comment below. I love reading other people's stories.

It is good that alcohol companies are doing non alcoholic drinks, but my sons dad, who they were for, doesn't like it, but there is a friend of ours that does, so they won't go to waste, and now I will next time, if there is, order the right ones. We all make mistakes and is how we learn and grow, and the one thing I now do, is not give myself a hard time over it, but just learn for next time and noone got hurt and was fixable.

Yesterday was a really good day. My brother organised and surprise lunch and had my cousins and family there, and friends which she didn't know, and it was so nice to see them, because everybody lives in different places it is not always possible to see each other and so when we do, it always such a pleasure and have a catch up and talk about the passed and just catching was so great and would like to have more time seeing my family and I do come from a large family and so it is good to see them, and as a kid I loved it.

In my opinion, at this time of year it is good to spend time with family and friends. My life has changed a lot and many of my friends have gone, and moved on, but don't get down hearted about it, it's life, and life changes.

So don't allow mistakes get you down, take it as a lesson and if there are family that you haven't seen for a long time, get in contact and meet. It doesn't have to be any where big, just a coffee or in our case it was a lunch and a central location, and was a great day.

Concerts, theatres and football

It is Friday! And now in November and it is cold out today, so I went into town to get some tissue paper, to get some milk and envelopes, and did a bit of walking and now on my sons laptop, as mine was being fixed after I was scammed (check previous blog for details) and watching a bit of YouTube and waiting to find out if I can get some tickets to see Bruce Springsteen and I feel so relieved now because I thought he was performing this summer gone and wouldn't get the chance to see him, and so praying that I am lucky.

Who would you like to see in concert. I have been waiting to see Bruce for ages, and really would like to see Michael BublĂ©, and next want to book a Pantomime. Its like a tradition. Last year we, me and my son, went to two and saw Bryan Conley and was really good.

I have been going to Pantomimes for years, since a kid and always such good fun, and going to concerts and other shows. I feel we have to look after and support the theatres, because they are a great thing to do, and would like to see more and going to write a list.

The other things I like to do, is going to football and rugby match and going to a match on my son's birthday at AFC Wimbledon, and I do support Chelsea but it so difficult to get tickets and expensive and so like support lower league teams and local ones.

I like to see live events and now going to look at going to a fireworks display, my son heard fireworks going off lastnight and wanted to see where they were coming from, and so going to see if there is a local one this weekend, or next week

So going to enjoy the rest of this week and will not be blogging on Saturday as it is my day off but will be back on Sunday.

Many thanks for reading,

Does bad luck come in threes

Oh where do I begin, today I was scammed by an email that was saying it was PayPal, when I haven't used PayPal in years and in an email I it gave me a number a call and I did, and on the call the person on the other end gave me actions and when I did the amount they were going to refund me was a different amount, to what was said and it was only when they tried to make me do a transaction I stopped and told them that I feel that this is a scam and hung up, and then £785 had been taken from my account, but thankfully I called the bank they couldn't see it and boy was I relieved, and with Christmas coming I feel we need to be on high alert for scammers, and now nervous of using my laptop to buy products online, and made a decision that I am only going to buy items on line using my phone, it feels safer. Please tell me your thoughts on that. You can leave a comment below.

I have had issues uploading picture to my Instagram, and now it is the next day because the scammers got into my laptop, so is being looked at and this morning because of a storm, there were no trains and had to get a cab.

My son's taxi that takes him to school didn't show up but as I was calling them, they arrived and so it all turned out okay, but does bad luck come in threes? Or is it a coincidence?

In counting that was 4 incidences and so for me I think it is just bad luck and there will be disruptions, that is life and seeing what is going on in other countries those incidences aren't that bad and solvable and insignificant.

I watched the first part if  David Beckham's documentary and even with all the success he has had, has come against bad luck, not been a smooth ride, like him being blamed for being sent off when England played against Argentina in the World cup, and for me it is a team effort and its because he was in the spotlight and furthering his career. I not sure of some of the clothes he has worn, like the Sarong, and some of the hairstyles, the Mohawk, but that should, in opinion, take away the fact he is still one of the greatest of footballers and enjoyed his life.

Yet his life has been challenging and there will always be challenges and disruption, but it is how you handle it and not allow it to intervene in your wellbeing and I do write a blog about Happiness and wellnesses: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com

So does it come in threes, bad luck, tell me what you think.
