Discovering old loves

What a morning. The sun shining and been out after my son was picked up and taken to school. I spent time having a coffee and bought a witches hat for tonight when my son and I dress up and go and see the Halloween decor and be good to celebrate. I know many don't celebrate for it and not be their favourite day, but want to for my son to experience it.

There was a time I was a humbug about it, because I hated kids knocking on the door, because at the time I was trying to get my son to sleep, but we went Trickle Treating and was such good fun.

I do feel for those in Israel and hope the war out there stops, and it is so upsetting see the amount of children hurt and dying.

It's just terrible.

I see more tributes are being paid to Mathew Perry who died this week and it's just so sad.

It reminds me how lucky it is to be alive and making the most of your life and he was so funny and another person I love and never going to meet. I loved Friends and he was also in films and it's going to be strange now should Friends return. I love all of the cast and so how life can be gone in a flash.

So going to do more to continue to be happy as life is short and no longer feeling down about life and keeping building and growing, to be a good mother, writer, sister and aunty, etc and not keep worry about what is going to happen next and live for now.

The on thing I happy about is I have discovered my old loves and that is writing daily blogs on this site, crafting/Scrapbooking, and cooking/baking, as I made some cupcakes as my son wanted to do some baking, and going to be a regular activity.

So I hope you have a good Halloween and will be blog again tomorrow.

Many thanks for reading

Need to work on my interview skills

Today I had a interview, to work at a nursery, doing relief work as I want to work in Childcare and healthcare to understand more about being human and helping children with their development and understanding of the world, and I always find it tough when it comes to the interviewer asking do I have any questions.

The interview itself when well and do lose my trail of thought, but then I got back on track and felt I answered their questions well. The one tip I have been told is to, listen and wait for them to talk, before you talk. Never interrupt, and take your time answering their questions.

My thoughts on having the interview today is that, I wasn't told anything about the actual nursery itself and now could kick myself, as I could have asked, as I didn't get shown around, and was asked questions, and then it ended.

I should have asked about the age of the children and dress code and their rules on working at the nursery as many I have worked at, have a mobile phone policy.

However it is good to work on interview skills and it will be as and when they want me, so feel good about it as I can still build my online work, and be good to build my skills and work towards my career and help others to do the same.

Being a parent it is a job within itself, and there are good and no so good moments, like when my son wants something and he can't, example coming home from school he wanted to walk to Garfield park in Wimbledon and where we often walk at the weekends, but because we are in Epsom where his dad lives, it too far, and he will get upset about it, and often not understanding.

Yet is is rewarding too, when my son wants to play football with him, have cuddles and walking together as it really benefits us both and we both get some enjoyment with it.

So going to sign off now and I will be back with a new blog tomorrow. So see you then.

Many thanks for reading,

Autumn Reset getting back into sharing my thoughts and feelings

I want to write in this google blog site, because I do enjoy blogging everyday, but have been building on my other channels, but want to write a blog on a daily basis again, and going to start as of today, 29th October 2023.

My son on one of our walks which we do every Sunday and being near nature.

It so sad hearing of the passing of Mathew Perry who played Chandler in the sitcom Friends, and would watch it religiously and it is sad, because he still had lots to live for. Any how, he will always be remembered, because he was very honest about is troubles with addiction, and will remember him as a great actor, wished I known him, in person, but will always be one of my favourite actors, who play an iconic character.

Since writing on this blog, I have taken on some challenges, did my yearly programmes, Life coaching project called Summer Project 2023, and Autumn Reset 2023. Check out my blog: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com

Just now I sorted out my shoes, and was getting into lazy mode of leaving it until another day, but thought know I am going to sort it out today, and tidied my desk and feel so good in getting it done. I didn't film because camera memory card is full, but will film what I did as we approach another week, and then I have birthdays to sort out, and then it is, yes, CHRISTMAS! Yes, and this week for my Autumn Reset complete my 3rd draft of my book I am writing so I can get it completed, and get it published.

If you didn't know I have written books on parenting and fiction, one being A Lonely Walk to Happiness and Mum&Me. My books are available on amazon, under the names, Carrie Challoner and Carrie Holmes.

I completed an audio book, Save a Cat Writes a Novel, and it was good but would like it in physical form too, and was really help in laying out my book. I am very much a Panther and just write but I do plot and starting to lay out another book idea I have. When it comes to writing you just got to begin and do a lay out of the idea you have. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Save-Cat-Writes-Novel-Writing/dp/0399579745

Now I am on Atomic Habits on audio and so far it is good, and sounds horrific, hearing about when he ended up almost losing his life, and what habit it. I feel a little behind, because I, watching Youtube, have heard many talking about it, and do have some catching up when it comes to these type of books.

I am still trying to do my challenge of Reading a book a month, but due to school holidays, I am behind, so going to see how much I can read this week and have the book I am reading now called, Away with the Penguins, by the end of November, so I can start again in December.

Henry my son goes back to school and always get the jitters, of what if the taxi doesn't show up, Henry is sick, the trains aren't operating and an interview tomorrow too, but not that nervous at the moment, but going to use the time this week, to finish the 3rd draft of my book done.

I would like to know your thoughts that I have shared. You can comment below.
