Getting things done due to new habits

It is a good start for the week, because I went to an appointment and before then checked some shops and this was early and glad I did, because as I spent time on my blogs and listen to some music, and got home before it began to rain. I feel like I really turning a corner.

I have written two blogs on my blog: Organize4thebetter and on my site: Everyone can build a castle.

This is from someone who used to sleep in and feel like time was slipping away as I did that, but with not having my phone near my bed, has made a huge difference, because to check my phone I have to get out of my bed to do so, and then by my alarm I am already awake enough to get up and not change my alarm time, pushing myself to get up and start the day.

Then I wrote down my 5 things I wanted to do today, and that include working on my blogs, and have published my Newsletter for May, and so if you want to read it then go to the above Everyone can build a castle, I read a bit of my book, had lunch and worked on one of my books I am writing. This is not to show off, but to inspire. By changing a habit, just one, has made a real difference and feel like "How come I didn't do this before?"

If you'd like to read my Life Coaching blogs I have written as part of my Life Coaching programme, "2022 Project" then you can at above (everyone can build a castle, and got a new video to be uploaded too, and see this link where you can watch my others I have uploaded so far https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

Picking a few things to do, is for me better as I don't feel overwhelmed and so I pace myself. Before each week I will write down my plan for the week and highlight the items I need to get done first and highlight in pink the next items I want to get done.

What habits have you started that have made a difference to your life, please leave a comment below. Please comment on what topics you'd like me to talk about, all comments are welcomed.

Half Term week and my plans on celebrating the Queens Jubilee

It is Friday and I am on parent duties this evening and I hope with my son is going to sleep later, he won't wake up super early, that's the dream. My son is an early bird, and likes getting up early to play with his Tipping Point machine, and watch his tablet.

Today was his last day of school for a week, and next week it is half term again, and so means booking some fun things for Henry and making sure he needs are met. He loves travelling by train and playing football in our local playground which is attached to wear I live, and going to the park.

I do feel lucky living in London, there is a lot you can do, and because it is the Jubilee it will be a lot going on to celebrate, and I will be filming more Day in a life videos to be edited and created to have this week to come, be one to remember.

It is a historical event and it will be so good to be part of it. I know I keep talking about it, but feels good to have something to celebrate after these twos years where we weren't able to socialise. I am going to buy some memorabilia for it too, and if I have grandchildren I can tell them about it one day.

Seventeen years is a long time, and I bet there will be those who have 70 birthdays that can be a party for all that have been alive since the Queen, and just had an idea of creating a photobook for it, and be kept for years to come. I will let you know if this happens.

It is now Sunday as I finish this blog post and this week I going to take my son up to London, as it is all decorated for the week and really want to be up there with my son, and really looking forward to it.

After COVID I think it has made everyone thankful for being alive and making the most out our lives even if it is means being in lockdown, and is good to be able to smile again. I know Ukraine are still at war, not wanting to be, so do feel a little guilty over that, but there is only one person to blame for it and do I need to say his name? I think you can guess who I am referring to.

Please comment below of how you are going to celebrate the Queens Jubilee and dong during the UK half term.

I am still doing my Life Coaching Programme, "2022 Project", so please visit my site: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com and my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

Planning for the Platinum Jubilee and watching the football Champions League

It is Thursday once again and I have just got home, and by Thursday I really feel fatigued. to the point I feel I could sleep at my desk. This is now passed 6pm and still got bits I need to get done before this day comes to a close.

I have been thinking about the Queen's Jubilee and decided on what I want to wear and would like to do a blog post dedicated to what to wear. So, I will let you know if this happens. I have so many things I want to do that not sure of how much more can I fit into this week, and tomorrow it is Friday. Then it is the weekend once again.

I write a fashion blog called https://carriesversitilefashion.wordpress.com, is where I will share this content, if I get that done.

I have already picked my outfit for the Jubilee and hope we get good weather. It is the Champions League final on Saturday and looking forward to it, and perhaps I could do a blog about this too of good sporting merchandise, I will make a note. I used to often go to a football match and buy items from on site club shops, even lower league not just the premiership and can be great fun. Plus many shops will do special offers for sporting occasions, like supermarkets to courage you to buy from them and great if you are having people over to watch the matches with you.

Why not visit your local pub that may have it on, as being a pub watching football can be a brilliant and make a night of it. I used to do this a lot too, and one final I watched in a pub in Sloane Square London, Di Matteo wife and baby was in there watching the match too.

I fell in love with football as a kid when it was the Italia 90, and England got beat by West Germany on penalties and I cried for two hours and fell in love with the game.

My ambition was to be a football coach and I did, I managed a local team in Stoneleigh and was brilliant experience, and worked as a Steward at Fulham Football club and helped the groundsman too.

I have those memories to treasure, and I get withdrawal symptoms when I haven't seen a match for a while. It can be really good fun.

So, one more day and it is a week off with the kids, being that it is half term and time to wave our union jack flags for the Queens Jubilee.

New Habits I have been doing and getting the most out of your days

It is now Wednesday and I have been working on my last daily blog to publish, and so that is up and ready to be read, https://mydailythougthsandfeelings.blogspot.com/2022/05/what-to-do-when-it-is-raining-during.html

Getting up early rather than the time I was getting up before, which was around 8:30-9:30am. Now I have made a change to that, it has made such a difference, and now I don't sleep with my mobile phone, and feel so energized by doing that.

It is a bad habit to get into, having my mobile beside me, and so glad to have changed this. I wish I could magically show how I feel, but it just feels wonderful and like "Yes Mel Robbins you're a genius woman", and glad for your videos and book, and got her next book "The High Five Habit" on audible ready to listen too.

I at the minute listening to the Bee Gees songs, playing from Youtube, and completed my 5 things I wanted to do today, like working on my newsletter that I write every month, check out my blog: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com  where I publish them, and getting my workbook done for my Life Coaching Programme "Project 2022", and uploaded a new Youtube video, my Make up routine and skincare video: https://youtu.be/iAc0QNEOmgM

I am really looking forward to writing more blogs and more books. I love being a writer and working on my Life Coaching blogs, books and videos, and want to do more work like this. It is feels good to reach out to so many people as I see more of my blogs I write on Wordpress doing so well, because today, I received another follower, on my parenting blog I write: https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com

It is good to have things that gets you out of bed and staying in it. I want to make the most of each day  and week, and the months.

You got to have things that brighten your life rather than having negativity all of the time.

It can be working in a coffee shop one day in the week and getting outdoors more and having time just you and the world. I love being able to sit out in the garden with my notebook and work on ideas of blogs and growing my content.

Life is not about constantly working, but having time just to breath and be in different places that are accessible. Example: Have a coffee in a local park and watching the world go by, or making a coffee at home and bringing it out with you. Having a packed lunch one day week, rather than buying out, and instead of going to the gym exercise outdoors.

The world is there so use it. I know with what has been happening in Ukraine, it is hard, its dreadful, so even doing an act of kindness, it is so rewarding and it can be as simple as, offering you seat on the bus or opening the door to someone. Make life worth living.

I am doing a Life Coaching Programme "Project 2022" and so check out my Youtube channel, linked above and my blog site: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com

What to do when it is raining during half term (UK Yearly Holiday)

It is Tuesday and even though I woke up seeing drizzle outside, and now just looked the sun is out. I try not to worry about the weather, but did have an image of today, sitting in the garden where my son lives and do some writing outdoors, with a lovely cup of coffee.

I have some errands to run, but that should not take too long. When it comes to errands I like to do it bit by bit and not all at once. Life is not about rushing about, getting here and there, but having days that make you smile because of the weather, people who have greeted you good morning, that rarely happens now, but is a good when someone does.

I am currently filming a day in a life, because it is the last week before the kids are off, for half term and so want get bits done, because I might not be able to get it done due to school holiday. It means planning days out, but I think looking at my calendar I have two days to spend with my son, so going to take him swimming and then to soft play.

There are many cost effective ways to have fun by checking out your local sports leisure centres because they often will do, depending on the company. places where you don' t need a membership but book as you go. Better Gyms have many gyms around, (this is not sponsored), and are easy to use and is a good option if the weather isn't any good.

You can still take them out if it is raining, but if it pours then it is indoor activities. Example: I made a crown with Henry yesterday for the Platinum Jubilee and for school, and why not do that at home too. My son loves to play with his Tipping point machine, and why not get some cards to play matching pairs. My son  has Dino Cards which are brilliant to use, and magnetic darts and make into a competition, and why not have your kids, create a flag out of paper and sticks to celebrate the Jubilee.

You can decorate paper plates to celebrate with lolly sticks, or one thing they did on my estate would make badges, and jewelry and it was really good fun.

I do write a parenting blog https://theparentingadventurestipsandtricks.wordpress.com  If you'd like to check it out.

I am also doing a Life Coaching programme "2022 Project" to help you have a better life and better year and can be found on my site, https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com I am also create videos too on my Youtube channel: https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

Taking on challenges and using fear to drive yourself you through challenges

It is now the weekend and today Henry did his swimming lesson, which had been cancelled for a few weeks and when first began lessons, he was very nervous, but now he is very confident and chilled.

There are always going to be hurdles and challenges, so it is good to face them head on, to get passed the fear.

Feeling scared of a skill you have never done before is normal, because it is the apprehension of "What if" and start playing movies in our head visions of "What if it all goes wrong?"

For they are natural fears because it is our way of measuring our safety and making sure we take little steps that will minus out the fear. Start a plan, and set it out of what it is that you want to learn, and going through the ifs and self doubt you are having, to address them, that can make a difference to make sure they don't.

I have really gotten into doing some challenges, and it really helps me finish projects, and not putting things off. I try and set one up every month, but it is tricky but I love setting them up. April was setting goal a day, but I have always done that. With Easter and half terms it has been a challenge to set a challenge, but I will keep going and set up some more.

It tests the mind, the body and my overall wellbeing. Yet I do have projects that are like challenges, example I have this month, been editing my book mum and me, which is already on Amazon, but that is an unedited version, you can find it under the name, which is my maiden name, Carrie Holmes, if you'd like to check it out. I am now creating the edited version, just to give you a taster. Even that is a challenge as I know a lot will be waiting for the edited version, but I don't mind.

There is another story I am working on to be a book. It takes time, but when it is completed it feels so undesirably good. It is getting all chapters numbered and has to flow and if you have a positive feelings about it, then so will others reading the book, and setting targets is good to meet the challenges so you succeed.

I am doing a Life Coaching Programme, called "2022 Project" to help you have a better life and a better year, no matter where you are in your life.

If you set challenges and what are they?

If you check out my Life Coaching blogs go to my blog site: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com

I have also been creating videos on my main Youtube channel if you'd like to check the out, and I will be putting them into a play list, I will let you know once this is done. Here is a link to my main Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

Taking a break and what I like to do on Fridays/End of another week

So now it is Friday the end of the week, and I feel it. Friday is where I get bits done that hadn't in the week and any last bits of writing I can do, so I can have my night off on Saturday, and sets me up when I am back with my writing on Sunday.

I like regularity and knowing what is to come next, and fear if I am knocked off guard, for example falling ill, whether that is me or someone in my family, that may change the plans I have made. "Who knows what is going to happen?" I hear people say, and that is true, but it never stops the surprise of life, and never stops the feelings that come with unexpected events.

Friday is when my son stays with me and so I have gotten into the routine of preparing for that, like make his bed, clear rubbish and basically tidy up. I don't always feel like doing that, but something I like to do for my son, and for me. It helps to set me up for the weekend.

I have to give myself respect, and that means allowing Friday's to do different habits to what I do at the rest of the weeks, example: above I tidy up and prep for my son, who stays with me until Sunday.

You have to take a break, and realise that you are okay to feel tired and that you need a break. Yet when we do we then can feel guilty like we don't deserve a break.

I am doing a Life Coaching programme and creating blogs and videos, as part of this programme, helping you to have a better life and a better year.

My Everyday Fears and worrying

When I am travelling on the bus I have this fear about someone sitting next to me, because I had an experience where I was travelling to work, as I worked at a Call Centre at the time, made me wait until he got off first and wouldn't let me pass.

Now I envision not being able to get off because of that person, and so fear someone sitting next to me won't let me get off.

I am at the moment working on my yearly Life Coaching programme "2022 Project" helping others to have a better year and better life (you can check out my blogs and videos via this site I write on Wordpress platform: https://everyonecanbuildacastle.com)

So now when someone sits by me and say to myself "I will get off" and reassure myself that I will get off at my stop I need and avoid the worry of this.

Everyone deserves a sit on the bus too, and not up to me.

It is also because I like my space, and that there isn't always enough room, but still who am I in hogging that seat next to me?

As I continue to write this blog I did give up that seat today and did feel good in doing so, and it was a woman so didn't feel so worried about it. I fear a man sitting next to me, because of the experience I had encountered, and talked about above.

I want to stop this fear, and not sure of a solution, but needs to workout.

If you have fears that effect you everyday and want to share then please do. You can leave a comment below.

I suppose it would be for me to catch the train, but get worry about the same thing and will still be busy, and it is cheaper to travel on the bus.

So, when it comes to everyday fears like I have, it means that this has become a habit, to have the fear of not being able to get off the bus, I also keep thinking I forgotten or lost something out of my bag, so going to start putting a list together to stop this and make it a habit to clear out my bag at least once a week.

Worrying is a habit and to deal with my worry I like to learn from others like Mel Robbins because she talks about what she has done to eliminate it and go through your worries.

  • I do always get off the bus,
  • I have all I need with me everyday.

That is what I need to remember and to relax.

What about you,

  • Do you worry?
  • How have to dealt with them?

Let me know, and if you'd like to check out my videos that I have filmed for my Life Coaching Programme, you can do via this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUDFIqjVKLy7NhtcR6Hy0Tg

Great days that save you money and my view on theme parks

So it is Sunday when I began this blog and spent the weekend with my son and yesterday celebrated my nieces birthday and when to Bracknell, where I have never been before and really is nice. I wish I had checked the name of it.

The climbing frames were all wooden and had trim trails and benches and places where you can sit and have a picnic.

It so cost effective, there is a kiosk that sell drinks and snacks, toilets and softplay. I believe in taking my son out to play that is cost effective and so good to explore different parks in the UK that is easy to get to.

I love a park that gives my son a good time to explore, feed the ducks and swans if there is lake nearby and has plenty of climbing frames and swings and caters for all ages. This one had a soft play and Go Ape, which my nieces, her sister and friends did and if they aren't scared of heights can do, and they are safe to do.

Theme parks are okay but they can be expensive, depending when you go, and is a place I like to take to Henry but tend to do these, once a year, but parks like we went to on Saturday you can go last minute and still have lots of fun.

I never do the Sun Newspaper deals, for theme parks but plenty do, and can save you money, but when I have heard about people using these, a date is given to you when your tickets using the son vouchers can be used and have been none transferable, and so if you can't go, you can't use them for another day.

I don't like to go when they are very busy because of queuing up for rides, and if it rains all day can take the fun away and can be restricted of what rides you can go on, and so becomes a waste of money, but you could get what was called, "A rainy day discount", and you can get fast track tickets, but these can sell out fast.

This is why I love parks, like Battersea because they have a few playgrounds, a pond and a Zoo, which you can visit and cheaper, and you can ride on paddle boats and funny bikes they have. These are popular and depend on the weather but you can always go back another sunny day and just turn up.

Now it is Spring and soon to be summer, looking to explore more parks like the one we went to on Saturday and not having to wait around to get on a ride.

Bank Holiday Weekend/Having a week off and things been working on

No I haven't written this blog daily as planned but my son this week has Chicken Pox and so been spending time with my son, who is full of energy still, but covered in spots and is reluctant to have the spray as couldn't get cream to help, and so been challenging, but we are getting through it and he is and I are looking forward for him to return to school.

In the UK we have a bank holiday on this coming Monday and so means no school and for some no work to go to, and get an extra day off.

I am going to keep going for walks and it felt so good as we have been confined indoors and so it was good to go out again and spend time strolling along watching others go about their day too.

Already I have my Pj's on and had shower so tomorrow I can get up, get dressed and go out and then Tuesday it is back to school again.

Last week made me see that planning still never goes ahead so always good to have a plan B, and took notebooks and a book to read to travel to and from my sons home and working in the evenings and taking a break from my blogs, books and videos, did help me reset and spend quality time with my son.

I am now starting my Life Coaching programme "2022 Project" which began a day ago and it is going to help you have a better life and a better year.

Please check these links:

Now my son should be okay to go back to school I will be writing more daily blogs on this site and so many thanks to those who have read my blogs on the site and soon it will be summer time and hopefully more rain free days.
