Summer Rain/What I do when the weather is rainy

When it comes to British Weather there is no control, so its make do with what we got. When there are kids involved they often don't care, but we as the parent worry in case they catch a cold as it can if not dried off.

I also find when keeping track of the weather you end up carrying loads more stuff compared to sunny days.

So how I deal with them, I have the weather news on my phone and check day before if I remember and in the morning before heading out.

I will tend to stay local compared to summer days this time of year, but go to a local park if it is light rain. If it is terrientrial the its a day indoors. So will play hide and seek, darts, read books and even do colouring in.

When on my own I use it to work indoors and do errands and travel to have a bit of retail therapy.

I still try to go out door's for fresh air but on my own.

What do you do when it rains? Please leave a comment below.

Looking after the world we live in/Pollute less and recycle more/Make homes safer/Flood Free

Have you seen the floods that have happened in the UK and in worse in Europe. Is this due to Climate Change? I think it is.

What can we do to make a difference? Recycling more, have barriers near the coast of England and Europe, stop landfill by upcycling.

If you have clothes that you have been meaning to get rid off then why not do that now and they should have a Flooding Emergency fund to help those who's lost their homes and possibly their income. Many families are gonna be suffering and that is what we need to avoid.

I see that this is getting really serious now, and we do need to do less polluting and be careful how we build houses, and how we can make them flood free.

We need to save our planet and buy less as I am guilty too of over buying but I slow down and I don't shop all of the time. I do it is a way where I will spend less but have more to wear that will last me not just for a year but for a long duration.

I would like to create emergency supply packs with long lasting food, clothes that others may not need and give back these people's homes and create a preverse amount of money to save people from natural causes such as floods.

I just did my Weekend chat video talking about setting up a World Emergency fund and so gonna see if I can set up a just giving page to raise money for this: https://youtu.be/3mG4uBijAFw

People need to live and helping people to survive is important and so I am going to go through my clothes in my old home to donate items to charity too.

My heart goes out to those have a lost their homes and rebuild their lives.

I will let you know once I have set up a fundraising compaign and will be end of this week and so watch out for more details

Many thanks for reading.

Celebrating our fathers/Good tips to celebrate

Hello and welcome! So tomorrow it is Fathers Day and even though my Dad may no longer be here doesn't mean I can't celebrate and I am gonna make Fathers Day playlist to share. When it comes to music my father was my idol in this area as he introduced me to music and always had the radio on in the morning in the kitchen before he would go out to work or go to see his mates in Chelsea, England, London.

My dad grew up in Chelsea and whenever I take a wonder around there keeps me in touch with my dad and loved spending time there as a kid.

He was dustman and then became a windowcleaner and very respected one too. He would get up really early and I am the same. He loved where he came from and let others know too.

Very patriotic and loved mainly rugby, Cricket and Soccer.

My Dad would play in the pub football team and then they decided one day to form a cricket team and then we would go on holiday with his friends and their kids. He would always be the one dancing at weddings we had and at my Cousin Simones Wedding when the fire alarm went off he still carried on dancing.

He couldn't have imagine his life not being in London and when he could move back into the city he did just that.

So lets celebrate our dads and fathers to come.

Lockdown over/what do we think? Be so good to socialise and be outdoors again

I am over the moon that the lockdown has cleared and that we can venture out again. I am ready for some pub grub and be near the seaside.

I ventured outside today as I had to pick up some tablets and it felt so good, and I enjoyed the walk I did with Marie the Activity Coordinator and was good to be outdoors again today on my own and I am popping out later too.

Try not to stay in all of the time, I do this a lot when I go into work mode, but I have separated out my work on blogs, books and videos.

I am gonna pop out tomorrow to and read my book. Felt so good to be able to be free and so good for the mind.

There are times when I can be super lazy, but then I find this makes me restless now. It feels good to have lockdown removed and go out.

I love sitting my local gardens reading and walking around looking at the beautiful flowers and see others out jogging and socialising again.

I think with Lockdown it has actually made people become closer and more happy about seeing friends again and grandparents who may have to be on their own throughout it. It good that I can spend more days with my son, and it was so good to see him yesterday.

Being with your children is so important, but if they are adults and have kids of their own, then it must have been hard to be able to see their parents with their kids.

Least now they can see people again and not be on their own. It important to them and for you too.

So have fun now and lets all enjoy seeing our friends and family again and why not have post COVID and lockdown party of small amount but to give you all time to see others again .

Planning for a week ahead/Addressing and seeing things as they are

If you didn't know I do a lot of blogs on Life coaching as Life coaching is what has helped me as often to plan your life ahead you do have to begin to see things for what they are. Example when it comes to people who do bad, will they always be like that? For some no, but often no.

They will always be resentful and only their view counts whether it is right or wrong. So do I learn each week? YES!

I now can not feel the pain of someone else's anger and their mistreatment, and it has made me a stronger person. From last week I have seen that my view of people has changed and that I have been caught in this battle of "Your wrong I'm right" when does it really matter if they think I am wrong? NO!

You can never make someone care when they don't. You can't make someone love when they don't, and you can't make someone have a good week when they don't.

What you can do, is focus on those who see the world the same way as you, and those who are willing to listen to your point of view, your story without passing judgement or thinking they have to in someway respond.

It is good to have a place to scream occasionally and yes this includes a pillow. We all want a bit "JUST GIVE ME A MINUTE" and take our time and if you feel you are better off in bed for the day, take the plunge if you can. On days you can't focus take a break, like lunch time and go for a long walk or if you work or live near the sea then walk down to there and sit by it.

Then you can plan your week ahead whilst you sit there as sometimes we do our week ahead list, we often need that time to readjust and smell the sea air. Of course nowhere near a sewage pipe. I've done that not realising and big mistake if you've just eaten.

Any have a good week ahead and tomorrow Wednesday.

Weekly Newsletter blog/changings to my life

I no longer use this platform as a Newsletter but as a daily blog. I got the idea from trying out 750words, and writing everyday. I do, however write a Monthly Newsletter. This began this year and I post it on my blog site everyonecanbuildacastle.com

That is the only real change. I have two other youtube channels, A style way of living and carries educational youtube channel.

I only have one subscriber, but are new and I hope you like the content, should you want to.

Discovering the world of Youtube inspired me so much and began watching when working a call centre and became hooked.

I do have to limit it along with watching TV and have withdrawn myself from social media, and use it mainly for my blogs or to share a video, some music and anything that has caught my eye, and if someone did do that, they'd "Well give it back", and "Take it back, as don't like what I am seeing".

This week I have been sorting through my blogs and updated them, and deleted some that I felt no longer relevant for my content I want to share.

I did have a mental breakdown too, and felt I couldn't get to grips in my reality and living in a dream world like playing out what I wished my life had been like to what my life is now. I have always battled with reality and so had to work on my personal wellbeing to help others. I love blog writing and the things I have been doing, some I talked about what I thought was happening and what wasn't, and really getting to find out who am I as a person. Why I have a allowed myself to get like this.

Finally I am back into reality and have had to really sort my life out. I have a son and it is important for him to see me well and I hope that if he loses his mind one day I can by learning from my own experiences help him and now want to focus on being the best parent I can possibly be, the best daughter and aunt, and not feel that anyone is out to get me. As I did feel this way.

So a lot has changed since I first wrote this blog and wanted to take time to update and to take you through my life to help should you feel this way too.

Change your days during a Pandemic/Handling Lockdown

Hello and welcome to a new weekly Newsletter blog of my Thoughts and Advise for the week.

In this blog post I am sharing, Change your days during a Pandemic/handling a lockdown. No I too am looking forward to the end and looking forward to having a pub lunch again, a McDonalds and a Kebab, so needed. I know I could have a Kebab any time, but I do prefer to make my own and sit in the garden. My own garden and that is happening very soon.

I have been changing up my days to keep me going and you can do so too, by doing simple things like, making a day too,

  • Have a ritual each morning, afternoon and evening. This can be having a herbal tea, whilst listening to chill out music, a soak in the tub of an evening with candles and nice bath salts
  • Read a book a day, or do a bit of reading each day. I would love to try and challenge myself if I could read a book a day, as I have seen a young girl do this on her youtube channel and it intrigued me.
  • Go through your wardrobe and mix and match outfits. I like to have a wardrobe where I have a selection of everyday clothes, going out (whenever that may be) and having a good sort through
  • Have an evening of doing puzzles or mindfulness exercises like mindful colouring in books. I love colouring books, and enjoyed doing this with my son, and could be a good bonding time.
  • Create some Arts and Crafts to celebrate Women's month, which is now and read books, as it was World Book day yesterday and watch documentaries about your favourite celebrities, and are true of course.
  • Get ready for Easter and create greeting cards and a Easter Buffet, and create baskets for the day, to give to your love ones.
  • Do a home make over. I like to take my time and making displays, and making them practical and nice looking.
  • If you are looking forward to having a meal in a restaurant and a pub, then why not make your own pub grub or a different meal that you would normally have in a restaurant and again, do this by having an end of Lockdown dinner party.
  • Create a chill out space. For me that is sitting out in the garden doing a bit of work
  • Create a virtue experience. So instead of going for a champagne, meal and theatre show, why not bring it home. All you need is a bottle of champers, a meal and you can get DVD's of some shows on Netflix and they often show some on the Sky Arts channel. I know many things are shut at the moment, but not supermarkets, TV stations or TV shows, so can easily be done.
So don't feel that with lockdown you can't change your habits. Doing rituals can change a hard task into a simple one and, I have made the most of the time to see how I can save money but still do the things I love at home, which is not available at home because of Lockdown.

Days doesn't have to be all about to do lists as such, but creating days where it doesn't feel like it is dragging, and could be a nice break for your kids and you, from Homeschooling as I bet you are at the place like many, taring their hair out praying as much as we love our kids, the days when they will all be returning to school.

Getting Ready for Normality/The London Life

It is Sunday the 14th February. Happy Valentines Day! So I am getting ready for normality and being in London and living the full London Life again. I am going to at some point visit the Kings road Chelsea and see what is down there now as it has been a while and was a good place to go for browsing around the shops and then having a bite to eat.

Then there is Sloane Street, Knightsbridge and the London Parks. I am going to spend a lot of time walking around these and would like to go to a music festival, a football match, work in a coffee shop (doing my writing) and have a McDonalds again.

I love where I come from and there was a time I wanted to get away but that was because what was happening around me and I felt it was the right time and went to work in a Holiday Camp, because it is something I had wanted to do since a kid. I just needed that time to do my own thing which I have done a lot in my life and feel it is good to be different. There was a time when I was felt it wasn't good but, yes if we were all the same it would be a boring world.

The other thing I love doing is visiting the Borough Market and would like to go down Petticoat Lane for the Sunday Market as I miss going to a market. You can find some really good bits and bobs. I would like a holiday and visit Clacton where I went as a kid and take my son to Disney World at some point. I think having this Lockdown it has made me see how the little things we can often we take for granted because we never thought this would come and how much we miss them.

So yes I am looking forward to normality and all of its Glory.

Planning Days During the Pandemic

Hello and welcome! In this post of Thoughts and Advice for the week I am talking about 5 ways to Planning Days During the Pandemic.

Well if you have kids hanging around your ankles then it means they need a bit more stimulation and have loads of energy stored and are bored. Kids tend to be disruptive and mitschievous when they are bored so its like what can we do?

1. Have kids help you meal plan and do a list and have them tick off which meals they would love to have on each day or week, and have them join in the cooking process

2. Homeschool with snacks and drinks. This then makes it more stress free and have them use rice and pasta for maths, like knowledge or weighing things, adding up or do arts and crafts with potatoes. An old favourite from when I was at school and can even do this with rice and pasta and create art

3. Still have a few friends come round as for me, as long as they have washed their hands, I don't see this as wrong. We as humans need social interaction and having a lunch at home with a few friends can be just what we need, rather than being on our own all the way through lockdown

4. Use the weekends if you work in the week to unwind and have a catch up via Skype, Voice call or Zoom meeting, with family and friends and have a Zoom Tea party

5. Create a Youtube channel of the things you love. There are a lot of those who create content on Youtube who do it as a hobby and have other jobs. It is a great platform or use Instagram or Facebook to share videos on things you love. Another way of keeping in touch with people

Pandemic doesn't mean we have to stop living and having internet now means that we can all still keep in touch, so don't let it stop you from having fun and cozy days when it is cold outside is often what you want to interact with friends.

When there are sad times in our lives and you just want the world to be different/stop hurting others for your own gain

First of all I would like to start with a video, which is a rarity for this blog. It is my weekly Newsletter post and I am talking about how we do need to be kind, let people be happy and want the best for all.

I was once told of a story of a woman who had to flee from Spain because of a war broke out and so she fled to England, and it was because her country had broke into a CIVIL War. She did in the end make a new life for herself, and it makes us see that even countries who should be together can full apart, and I loved it when my nan talked about the second world war and how everyone apart from Germany and France, pulled together to help one another.

Now we are in Pandemic, we should be doing the same. I never attack anyone, but we are allowed to be angry at times and let our emotions out rather than bottling them up.

So let those who are on their own that they are still loved and cared for, as we all want this deadly flu to go, and I don't like being angry or upset but I wear my heart on my sleeve and that is how I have always been. Shoot me if that is wrong, but I am allowed to feel, it is part of being human and that is what makes us who we are.

Stay safe, stay strong and lets help carry each other and be as one.

It That Time When we Have to do it all again/Weekly Newsletter blogpost

Hello and welcome! So it is time when we have to do it all again, and it can feel like Groundhog Day where everyday is the same, and this can really impact on how we feel and want to change, but feel in fear in doing so.

If you stay in a lot then, this could be the reason. We all need a bit of Vitamin D and when we don't it can influence our feelings on our lives and means you need to make a change if you feel bogged down or that a day is a struggle because of repetition.

I will have somedays where I will take time and go for a stroll, sit in a local park watching the world go by and being with myself and my surroundings. It is a good way to practice Mindfulness, which is mainly concentrating on your breathing and being present with what is arround you.

https://www.voicesofyouth.org/sites/voy/files/images/2020-04/22we_are_all_feeling_small_and_stressed._so_we_need_to_take_care_of_our_mental_health_too._stay_home_stay_safe_and_also_stay_positive22_munkhzul.lkh_26_mongolia.jpg

With the Pandemic it can feel like there is not much to do, but trust me you can still make the days worth getting up for, by having theme days. I loved having Curry Sundays and whilst eating it, having the sitcom Friends or Only Fools and Horses on the TV. You can get everyone up including your kids do a home workout with you.

Make it fun and create a programme with the pleasure of a computer of what is going to be happening on the day and what things you and your family will be doing. I love having a hobby and going to dancing school as a kid made me bare school days as I would focus on home time and my dance class on a Saturday. Just because you are stuck at home as we are in Lockdown doesn't mean you can't have a hobby. There are loads of content online now so have a look through and make each day count.

I am going to add this post to my Life Coaching Programme "Project 2021"and lets help each other through this Pandemic and hope it clears soon.

COViD and my real feelings on Lockdown January 2021

Hello and welcome to my Weekly Newsletter blog. Sorry it is a bit late, I am trying to catch up on my blogs as I also write a few on other sites. Please visit my site: https://www.carriesblognetwork.squarespace.com

In this post I am going to share my real true feelings on COVID and on Lockdown January 2021.

First of all I would like to say for those who have had the virus my heart goes out to you, and I do hope you do get better, and I do believe in praying, and will be doing so, to help that we can at some point go back to some sort of normality, as I do think a lot of people will be suffering, not just with having the virus but not be able to see anyone.

I do think wearing masks to help prevent the virus from spreading is a great way to do that and washing your hands, but I just hope that this doesn't continue into the Spring and Summer, when many families will be wanting to book their holidays. This is because of an Article that came up of passagers not being allowed on flights without one, but if they are on a long haul flight, I can see how tricky this would be, as do you really expect someone who is travelling for 6 to 9 hours with a mask on? I do think this is way too much to expect that.

I for one am in need of a good holiday and so I really hope that it dies down and we can go on our vacations.

I know being a sports fan that I would like to see a sport of some sort for real again, as I love going to see a football or rugby match, and also go to a music festival again. I would like to be involved again in sport in someway one day, but with COVID I think many sports club will be suffering because of the lack of supporters not being able to be attend a match, and see the ticket prices going up, once they can, to gain back the money they have lost, due to the Lockdown.

The music festival I have been to, called the Hard Rock Calling is one of the best and will be hoping that this along with the Hampton Court Music Festival is on. I have many goals and dreams for this year, and I want people to be able to go for a drink in a pub again or for a meal. Just be able to enjoy entertainment.

I think the information we are hearing is a bit speckled and not clear. It has made me fear going to the doctors as I do have a blood test to book, but I just don't want them to refer me to the hospital to have a blood test like they did before, when they couldn't get any blood out of me, to have a blood test.

The other area I worry about, is emergency services. Will this stop them from carrying out arrests or the fire service. They haven't seemed to have mentioned them. Of course they shouldn't be stopping these, but since COVID has come about, I have not heard a Fire Engine going passed where I live, and can be a common occurrence in London.

I do see that many TV programmes have still tried to continue, and I hope soon the theatres will be opening again at sometime, along with Cinemas, as I bet many films aren't able to be made as of yet.

Look out on Netflix where there will be many films being put on there as an alternative to the Cinema, and the same with Virtue TV and Satellite.

Anyway I hope that we can still pull together during these unsure times, and still be able to be sociable even if we do still need to keep our distance.

Well done to those in the NHS who have had to deal with such cases of the COVID virus, and I hope that we can all at some point put this behind us.
