Oh boy what a week. I have missed a few days. My son has been unwell and I have started another Course and so my focus was on that, along side my radio show and with my son not being too good, was making sure he was okay and this weekend, my son had a end of season party at his rugby club and yesterday it was my nieces birthday.
On Thursday I did my walk to my sons school even though it was warm it was the beginning of my son not being well. He was fine when he was playing football at his afterschool club but then waiting for the bus was looking a bit concerned and on Saturday he said that his head was hurting and I thought he had hit his head when he tried to sit on the bench whilst waiting for the bus on the Thursday and he looked like he was shaking, and I was feeling thirsty, so got my son a bottle of water and myself a Lucozade Sport and had a bit of life back in him but didn't eat his dinner which for my son, is a signal he us bit well.
Now it is Sunday and he ate at my nieces birthday and was playing, but still quiet which is not like him but as brightened up so see how he is.
I just took his temperature and it has gone back to normal, am I being Premature? He did look a lot better today.
That's the issue with the heat, many bugs are easier to pick up. He has gone to school and is a lot perkier today and has his appetite back, so will keep an eye on him and have my phone near by just in case. I have come to believe that it is a parents propagative to worry because we care and our children's health is always top of the list.
Sickness is what helps build their immune system, but it still not nice and is what is the right thing and what is the wrong thing to do. I dread booking appointment with my sons doctors because it is such a long process now. The one item to always have is a thermometer, and check their front of the chest just below the chin and at their back just below the neck.
If it is the heat then make sure they drink plenty of water and something sugary, cooled down with a wipe, sponge or flannel, and not wearing too many layers and put on Suncream and that they are in the shade if possible. Never leave kids in the car when it is boiling hot and have them wear a hat.

So see how the day and week pans out, as my son is going on his first every overnight stay on school trip and very apprehensive but been praying that it all goes okay.
Have a good Monday and more blogs to come this week, and if you'd like to be kept up to date with my blogs posts then remember to subscribe.
Many thanks for reading
