Are Mobile Phones Good or bad?

I am away from my phone right now as I like to be away from it. At the moment whilst my son is being tutored in the Library, I use it to listen to music, or a podcast or a youtube video whilst I write in my Journal. I am also partly hand writing on a book I am working on, but I have been guilty in putting my phone first before anything and would check it every second.

So it is good to be away from my phone at times and I will put it on charge in another room and put it on silent at bedtime. At the weekend when I stay in Wimbledon, instead of writing in my paper journal, I use the journal APP on my phone.

Also when Henry goes to school again, which we will be hooray, it is essential for them to contact me, but means I can't be using it, so means that I have to preserve the battery and I see people walking across the road and scrolling, driving and even cycling and in black, with headphones on, I mean it's like "What land are you on?" and so I feel that people, not all but many, need to be more responsible and I remember going out for dinner and the person I was spending time with spent the time entire time texting on their phone, rather than engaging in proper conversation.

When I would take my son to his swimming lesson instead of watching their children swim and sometimes the instructor would ask us to watch, would be on their phone and I am guilty of it too, when my son played in the park and it was mainly this woman who wasn't a nice person, but moaned because my son went on a sea saw and she wanted her child to get on it, knowing he had just got on, but still I just took it, because I should have been watching.

I was using my phone to film my Vlogs. I like to share things like the weekends and holidays, food and home. (122) Typical London Gal Carrie Holmes - YouTube but then there are weeks I don't want to vlog and have a bit of time away and be in the moment, not allowing my phone disrupt my notice away from the people around me and take it my surroundings. Not with my head down looking at a screen.

Social media can be addictive and I do think that children should not be allowed on their phones in schools and I am glad they stop it, in Cinemas and the theatre. I like it because it is good to not have to carry around paper tickets and can be scanned without more trees being cut down to create paper and the risk of losing them.

It has its benefits but I do feel that it can be disruptive at times and now I have cut down on using my phone I do feel better in myself and not so anxious about it. I would panic if it went missing and have lost phones. I always make sure I have money on me should I forget it because I keep my Oyster card and my sons card with it. I do like Instagram. Not sure about #tiktok but Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family and there is a lot of rubbish on #facebook too. Like celebrities who have died but haven't and I have bought an items from #tiktok but now I have seen that some items are fake especially electrical equipment will not buy anything again.

It has its practical uses but it is also good to be away from it. It is good to watch the TV rather then scrolling or going for a walk. I like to take pictures of nature and saves carrying my bulky camera and that I can be easily contacted.

So what is your thoughts on this. You can leave a comment below.
